Spring Pancake Breakfast and Volunteer/Learning Day
This month, our 1st Saturday will be a CRFG social pancake breakfast and we will meet out in Spring Valley. The club will supply pancakes, coffee and teas. Please feel free to supplement our breakfast with additional potluck items. Cut-up and plated fruits, beverages, baked goods, or meat/dairy proteins are welcome. Everyone is also invited to do a little volunteer work - especially to help setup/cleanup at our event, weed a little at our club nursery and fruit forest, or help to volunteer after the event at Spring Valley Community Day - where our chapter will have an educational CRFG table. That separate community event occurs between 10:00am-3:00pm and will be located at the junction of Bancroft Dr. and Tyler St.) Our efforts are an ever-evolving project that not only gives us a living laboratory to propagate our plants, but also makes the local community beautiful. If we have fruit on our trees it sometimes can be a great opportunity to try some new, tasty cultivars! If you show up to help, and would like some cuttings/budwood to take home please let a board member know first, and we will do our best to see if that is possible. There is a serious quarantine right now in Spring Valley for a pest fruit fly. Do Not take away plant materials without asking. Come on out, meet other plant nerds and give us a hand!

Schedule:
8:30am - 9:30am: set-up canopies and tables/chairs, prep coffeee and tea, organize sign-in/name tags, and coordinate potluck contributions
9:30am-11:30pm: breakfast, sharing, volunteering, learning
11:30am-12:30pm - help clean-up, take down tables/chairs/canopies Volunteers for our CRFG educational table - Spring Valley Community Day
